RECYCLING – Where to recycle my computer for free in Milwaukee

Did you know that aur Computer Service offers FREE computer recycling for individuals and home users of one or two computers complete with monitor, mouse, keyboard, printers, and other computer related accessories? That’s right! You can stop in to our shop at 5911 W Vliet St in Milwaukee seven days a week, including Saturday and Sunday, to drop off your equipment. It does not matter whether it is old or new, working or not. There are no forms to fill out or complicated procedures. Just bring it over, drop it off, and let us know if you need help carrying it in!

If you are a business looking to recycle a large number of computers, you should contact our recycling partner, Midwest Computer Recyclers, at 414.541.1716 for assistance. They offer recycling of all sizes and shapes of eletronic equipment as well as pickup at your site and record keeping services so you can track where your equipment went to avoid getting fined for improper disposal.

When you recycle your computer with us, we will scavenge it for parts which can be re-used or re-sold, and if we salvage a hard drive, we will erase the contents of it prior to reselling it. Non-working or outdated computer components get broken down into plastics, metals, circuit boards, cd drives, etc. and then sold off to commodities markets for further processing. Therefore, believe it or not, in the end virtually the entire computer gets recycled and made into other products.

Computer recycling is not a profitable venture for us; however, we do it as a value-added service to our customers and the local community, as we believe in sustainable business practices. Since we started our computer recycling service about four years ago, we have helped keep several thousand computers and the toxic waste inherent in them out of area landfills.
