Testimonial for Sobelman’s Tall Grass Grill in Milwaukee
Self-dubbed Milwaukee’s Healthiest Burgers, this is a wonderful & affordable place to eat on the east side. Always welcomed by a clean, smoke-free environment with fast and friendly service, I have so far tried the Sobelman 02, Bacon Blue, and Fresco burgers. They were all very tasty despite the lack of grease, and I really enjoyed the Fresco with the fresh avocado in it. Sobelman’s Tall Grass Grill just opened up in the old Patty Burger space at 1952 N Farwell and delivers to the nearby area – call 414.273.4727. The business is locally owned and operated by Dave and Melanie Sobleman, and their menu is available at http://milwaukeeshealthiestburgers.com/
Lots of rustic tent camping!
My young family is growing, and the summer time brings extra closeness due to relaxing schedules, during which we make a whole bunch of camping trips. So far this year I have taken my boys Will, 8, and Bryant, 5, to the Kettle Moraine Northern Unit in May for our boys-only camping trip. There we attended a presentation on frogs and lizards where they dressed up Bryant as an amphibian! The next trip was out to the Bong Rec Area at the end of June which my wife Hillery joined us for. We extended our learning on frogs, going on a guided frog hunt called ‘scales and slime’ where we ran into hundreds and hundreds of baby toads in the grass that had just hopped out of the water for the first time. They were smaller than my fingernail and so numerous we could not avoid stepping on some of them! Over the second weekend in July, we went to the Crazy Horse Campground in Brodhead, WI. There we enjoyed rolls, cookies, and pie from the local Amish bakery, and the kids had a blast jumping on the huge bounce pillow and skateboarding in the skate park. My sister Teri joined us for her first camping trip in over 15 years along with her daughter Melissa, 3 years old, who made her first camping trip ever! The first night there we had a pretty intense storm during which we had to abandon our tent for fear it was going to collapse, but thankfully that storm cleared up the humidity to make the rest of the stay absolutely wonderful. The highlight was our tubing trip down the sugar river, which everyone really enjoyed! To see lots of pictures of all these trips, become Tony’s friend on facebook.
